At NBR Agro Exports Pvt. Ltd., the processing and packing of pickled gherkins for export follows strict quality, hygiene, and international food safety standards. As an AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) compliant exporter, we ensure end-to-end traceability, compliance, and efficiency across our supply chain.
1. Raw Material Procurement:
We source high-quality fresh gherkins from our contract farmers across Karnataka. The gherkins are harvested at the right size (usually 3–6 cm), cleaned thoroughly, and immediately transported to our processing facility to maintain freshness.
2. Grading and Sorting:
Upon arrival, gherkins are washed using treated water and sorted according to size, color, and quality. Grading is done as per customer specifications and international standards.
3. Pickling Process:
The sorted gherkins are immersed in food-grade barrels filled with brine or vinegar solutions. We use customized pickling recipes based on the destination market’s preferences (such as for the USA, Europe, or Russia). The gherkins are then matured under controlled conditions for several days to enhance flavor and texture.
4. Packing and Labeling:
After pickling, the gherkins are packed in HDPE barrels, glass jars, or PET containers depending on the buyer’s requirements. Every unit is barcoded and labeled with batch information, ensuring traceability.
5. Quality Control & AEO Advantage:
Each step undergoes stringent quality checks including microbiological and residue testing. Being an AEO-certified exporter, NBR Agro enjoys faster customs clearance, reduced inspections, and global credibility – ensuring timely delivery to our overseas clients.
Our integrated system, advanced facility, and AEO compliance position NBR Agro as a trusted name in the global gherkin export industry.
